For 40 Years there has been a war waged against video games. But who, what, when, where and why has this war been waged? Join me, as I take an in depth look at the 40 Year War Against Gaming.

Below, you’ll find a list of sources that I compiled, not all of them. This project turned out to be far more work than I anticipated so the sources you see is not everything that is in the video.

  1. Video games have become digital crack! That’s all everybody does! Example! My 12 year old son sits in his room all day playing online with his friends! They is a big problem the human race is facing! People wanting to spend more time in a virtual world! More than the real world! The average gamer is very uninformed! Low Motivation! Overweight! And a lack of there of!

  2. ha,ha my wife introduced me to a game she found "BoneTown" it was an Xrated game, really bad game and well..I have to say it did give us some ideas we did act out on, so maybe they are right? oh wait that was sex not Violence. lol
    I thought it was funny and cool my wife found the game and downloaded it. its worth a few fun hours, just turn down the volume if you got kids..and keep your personal PC password locked, :-;

  3. I took my laptop and showed the army officers that I have completed the cod campaign on veteran they offered me a position as a lieutenant but I came back as I thought after all that experience I should at least be a general.

  4. I remember having a public speaking debate on banning violent video games. Of course, GTA was brought up. I said that they conveniently left out that GTA has a police force. Let's just say that the opposition had to take a break after that.

  5. I think religion needs to be outlawed. It is by far the deadliest disease known to man, it's extremely contagious and has killed millions of people throughout history.

  6. I am a Christian, and yet I feel that those Christians are bringing shame to God's name. I am also an active gamer, and my favourite games are the Far Cry and Battlefield series, both of which are violent, and the Far Cry series even has nudity in them. According to the bible, it is ok to do things that don't cause you to sin, but yet as long as I don't sin after playing those games, what's the big problem? And furthermore, why should I push my beliefs onto others? Just because I feel games are sinful, means everyone should stop playing? God doesn't work like that, he gives all people a choice. This is why people find Christianity to be a joke, and I can't even disagree after seeing these weak arguments made. I'm a rational person who isn't brainwashed by my beliefs, and if an argument is so extremely stupid, I am not going to agree even if a Christian said it. I think these so-called "christians" don't even know what being a Christian truly means.

  7. 19:35 Maybe ask them or talk to them. (if you don’t know how to talk to your kids I’ll link a simplified article bellow written by someone who has never met a child.) Teach them the difference so that they know the difference so they know not to do those things. It’s like trying to get rid of violent books or action movies. It comes down to this one question, would you rather your child Shoot someone in a game or in real life you have 2 options for answers 1 or 2. If your a confused parent maybe play the game with your kid or do some research from unbiased sources who have a knowledge of video games. Also on a separate note, all kids are different so some 9-year-old kids might be mentally old enough to play M rated games and some 15-year old kid might not be mentally old enough to play a T rated game. Video games don't make people do stupid things, Video games make stupid people do stupid things. Just like guns don't kill people people kill people sit a gun on a table and sit next to the table and nothing will happen. SPOILER ALERT It takes a person to fire the gun. The morel of the game (see what I did there) is that 1 it depends on the person we're talking about. 2 talk to your kids about these things odds are they know more about it then you do. I know a guy who's son had a real hard time learning how to read started playing Minecraft in public servers (which odds are nothing bad will happen to them if they do.) He played a lot but it didn't interfere with the rest of his life. And within the year his reading and spelling ability got a lot better he is now 12 and is at the resding/spelling level of a high school Junior and he's in 7th grade. Feel free to correct my grammar. (just don't be rude about it.) but remember this is just my opinion so create your own. I just hope I helped you in your search for knowledge. Habe ein gutan tag.

  8. The worst part of that Cracked video was the factual inaccuracy of calling gamergate a harassment campaign. If gamergate is a harassment campaign with <0.1% of tweets being reasonably classified as harassment makes the entire movement a harassment campaign, then that means all muslims, christians, buddist monks, movie goers, book readers, etc are also violent terrorists. I don't know why people are so stupid as to apply the actions of an incredibly small minority and say they represent the entire group.
