  1. I couldn't agree more with this list… you hit it right on the mark with those games. Try playing all of them at 1:00 am in an empty house (especially Subnautica with the f*ing music), and if you don't agree with Subnautica just watch some lets players react to the game – you'll change your mind.

Btw Don't Starve Together is sooo fun bc you can freak out with your friends.

  2. Subnautica is one of my favorite games in the past five years. The team over there is amazing and has a massive love for what they have created. If you have not played it I highly recommend it. It is a masterpiece.

  3. None of these games are particularly scary. The Forest and Subnautica are great games, though. The Long Dark was okay, but it's been a really long time since I've played it. They've probably improved it significantly since then. I got bored after 15 minutes of Don't Starve. Should be called Don't Fall Asleep.

  4. "(Subnautica is) probably the scariest non-horror game ever released" *proceeds to chow a clip that has a reefback bellowing, one of the best indicators that the region you're currently in is a relatively safe one, at least void of other leviathan class creatures*… If I could insert a facepalm gif here, I would.. 😛

  5. I agree with subnautica being #1 but I think Rust should’ve been on this list. Nothing is more frightening than going out alone to farm wood or stone and wondering if that noise u heard was another player or not. Or hearing the beeping of a c4 or hissing of a satchel charge on the front door of your base. Ur constantly on your toes in Rust.
